Quest Swim School's Frequently Asked Questions

  • Things to know before your first lesson:

    • When you arrive, check in at our kiosk, located at the front desk.
    • Please be dressed in a swimsuit, ready to swim, at least 5 mins before your class time starts. Swimmers are brought out to the pool 5 mins before their class time starts.
    • No parents are allowed on the pool deck, unless to escort younger swimmers between the ages of 2-4 to their class or to pick them up.
    • Parents with swimmers ages 6 and under must stay in the viewing area for the duration of their swimmers lesson in case the need to use the bathroom during their lesson. 
    • Un-potty trained swimmers MUST wear swim diapers.
    • Goggles are encouraged but not required. 
    • Long hair must be tied back to keep hair out of the swimmers face.
    • Don’t forget a towel to dry off after your lesson!
  • Do swimmers swim in the outdoor pool?

    Lessons are mostly held in the new facility. Classes that practice dives from the side or blocks will practice those in the diving well of our outdoor pool. Some programs like our Summer Slams are held outdoors during those warmer months. However, the bulk of our lesson program is held in the indoor facility

  • In the event of rain or a thunderstorm do we still have class?

    Always expect your class to be held. Unless you receive a cancellation notice from us, your class is still on. However, in the event of a thunderstorm, we have to cancel lessons. In the event that classes are canceled, you will receive a text and email notification. Be sure to check out our “Make-Up Policies and Cancellations” tab for more detailed information.

  • If I miss a class, can I schedule a make-up swim lesson?

    We do not offer make-up tokens for unexcused absences. Excused absences include missed classes due to illness with a doctor's note or other extenuating and unplanned circumstances. In the event of an excused absence, send us an email explaining your situation and we will issue you a token good for a make-up where we have space or 15% off your next monthly bill.   • Where can I find the schedule, and how do I register?

    To view our class schedule and register, click on the “Class Schedule & Registration” tab and click on the link. Or visit www.quest.captyn.com From there, you can explore our offerings and find a class day(s) and time(s) that work for you. You will register and pay for the class that works best for you directly through that website

  • What are the class levels and pricing?

    We offer classes for all age groups and skill levels here at Quest, group lessons and private lessons. For more specific information about each level please check out our “Level Descriptions” tab. The price for classes each month is determined by how many days a week you are registered for and at what level. For more information about how our membership pricing works and to determine what you would pay for each specific level, check out our “Membership Pricing & Details” tab.

  • Do you offer any discounts?

    Yes! We provide a multi-class discount of $10 if you take more than one class per week, that discount is applied automatically at checkout. We also provide families with three or more children a 50% discount on the third child and beyond, although that discount is not applied automatically.   • How do I access my Captyn account?

    To view your Captyn account, please visit the Captyn website quest.captyn.com. From there you’ll need to sign in, using the email address and password you chose when registering for lessons. Once you have signed in, you are able to view your lesson schedule and calendar, browse and register for more classes, or view your personal account. Click on “My Account” to access all your invoices, update your credit card information. From the "My Account" page, use the “Registration” tab to view your current registrations. You can also use the “More” tab to reset your password, view your tokens, or to make sure that you are signed up for extremely important text and email notifications (highly recommended).

  • How do I move my swimmer’s registration to a different class?

    To move your swimmer into a new class, you’ll need to log into your Captyn account. Once you’ve signed in, select the option “My Account”. From there you can click on the “Registrations” tab - this page will show you all the classes your swimmer(s) are registered for. Below each registration you will see two options, either “Cancel” or “Move” - Click on the “Move” button. From there, you’ll want to use the filters to select the level your swimmer is moving into and the days of the week you are available. Classes that do not have space available will show options for “Waitlist” instead of “Add Participant”. If you have multiple swimmers in the program and you’d like to keep them together, you are welcome to move all your swimmers onto that new day or time. If you are having difficulty finding classes held at the same time, please contact us! We are happy to try and help you out!

  • It’s time for us to take a break! How do I cancel my registration(s)?

    We are sad to see you go! To cancel your current registration(s), you’ll need to log into your Captyn Account. Once you’ve signed in, click on the “My Account” Button from the homepage. From there you can click on “Registrations”- this page will show you all the classes your swimmer or swimmers are registered for. Below each registration you will see two options, either “Cancel” or “Move” - Click on the “Cancel” button. From there you can schedule your cancellation to be effective immediately, or at the end of the month after their last class. Once you submit your cancellation request, we will approve it! You must request to cancel at least 5 days prior to the 1st of the month. If you have multiple registrations, you will need to repeat this process for each registration. Monthly membership fees are nonrefundable. However, if you need to cancel due to unique circumstances please contact us.

  • How do I view/use my token(s)?

    To view your tokens, log into your Captyn account. From there, click on “My Account” and then click on the “More” Tab. From there you will be able to see how many tokens you have. To utilize a token, send us an email at swimschool@questswimming.com and let us know how you'd like to use your tokens.
