Originally from Newport News, Va, Anastasia graduated with her BFA in Painting and Printmaking from VCU Arts in 2017. Although she never swam competitively she has worked in aquatics for 15+ years and has been swim instructor for 10+ years. Her specialty is teaching swimmers to dive although her favorite classes to teach are her AquaBabies classes. When she isn’t swimming, she is a professional artist that specializes in photo realistic charcoal portraits of people and pets. In fact she did the illustrations for The Art of Swimming and the Game of Racing: Reflections of a USA Swimming Club Coach written by Quest’s founder, Dudley Duncan. You can see six of those original drawings from the book displayed in the swim school!
