Rachel Shapert

Rachel is from Chesterfield and graduated from VCU. She’s been a swim instructor for 27 years. Her favorite stroke to swim and teach is backstroke. Although she never coached or swam competitively, Rachel grew up loving the water and has worked at pools for most of her life. She started teaching swimming when she was 18 and her favorite students have been her three daughters who all swam competitively from a very young age. When Rachel isn’t in the pool she is teaching third graders to read.
